The Bakewell Bakery was founded in
2011 out of recognition of the importance
of preserving traditional artisan baking methods. We employ skilled bakers to create products
by hand and operate without the use of plant
machinery, which helps to maintain exceptional
quality and protect the dying art of craft baking. We are a 24-hour operation; bread is baked
through the night, while puddings and
cakes
made using local eggs are created during the day. We have are around 50 varieties of bread
to choose from, including black treacle loaf
and brioche buns, while lemon cake, tray bakes
and, of course Bakewell Puddings, are best sellers. Delivery is available six days a week; we
supply both private customers and hospitality
outlets such as cafes, farm shops, restaurants
and hotels in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.
