Anyone else have a holiday in August and it already feels like it was six months ago?! ๐
I had SUCH a lovely break away with my family.
Quality time, adventures, sea air, river swims, laughing until I couldn't breathe. Lots of joy. ๐
And then you come home and somehow life just... starts again. And usually at a faster pace than before.
The emails are there. The work is there. The washing is DEFINITELY there. September arrives out of nowhere. Everything starts gearing up again and suddenly that lovely slow holiday feeling disappears remarkably quickly. Within SECONDS.
So this is as much for me as it is for anybody else:
*You don't have to wait until your next holiday to make space for things that make you feel good.*
I'm giving myself permission to take a minute to breathe, and to deliberately plan some little bits of post-holiday joy amongst all the STUFF.
Not another holiday. (Although... TEMPTED) ๐ Just small things.
Seeing people I love. Going somewhere nice. Getting outside. Having an afternoon where I don't need to achieve anything. Whatever brings a little bit of that "life is more than my to-do list" feeling back.
I don't want to save all the good stuff for a couple of weeks a year.
So if you've come back from a summer break and already feel like you've been catapulted straight into the BUSY...
This is yours AND my permission to put some joy back in the diary. ๐
What are you putting in yours?
