Birthday cupcakes for a lovely lady.

6 of these chocolate cupcakes, filled with black cherry conserve topped with whipped cream more black cherry conserve, dark chocolate shavings some edible gold and of course a cherry!

These were very well received and I was super happy with them. Even had a spare one to try! Pretty yummy!

Always happy for someone to tell me what’s their favourite, then convert it to a cupcake!

I made up a half and half cupcake with vanilla and chocolate; yummy!

If naked cupcakes are what you’d prefer or topped with melted chocolate or something else that’s your favourite thing, then I’m all ears!

I wasn’t baking this weekend. RJ and Daddy were!

Anyone heard of or still remember the Be-Ro book? I’ve used it since I was a kid, baking with Grandma. They made me a chocolate cake from the book for my birthday. RJ was excellent at licking the leftover bits and the butter icing.

It was nice for someone to bake for me! Yummy !!!

This is a recipe from
Described as Choccy Cola Cake
It’s got pistachios in too and the buttercream is coffee- a double shot espresso of coffee in it.
It’s a grown up cake! Easy to do and tastes yum.
However it’s not prefect, bit messy and when we went to get our slice the thing had only gone and collapsed! Never mind, Sam popped the top half back on and it still tasted the same.

Back to cupcakes????

The brief was buttercream in the middle and something a bit glitzy.

So I went with chocolate cupcakes, hot chocolate buttercream filling and on top! Decorated with melted milk and white chocolate, then gold and navy sprinkles topped with a square of chocolate; Dark, Milk and White

Yummy

Personal bake.

Started a few weeks ago; mixed, baked, fed with orange juice and now finally iced and decorated.

It was a family effort, RJ helped and also ate the icing.

I'm not the biggest fan of christmas cake; I'd rather eat other peoples icing and marzipan, however last year I actually enjoyed it. (Mum Clark's Christmas Cake πŸ₯°πŸ˜‹) so as we stay at home this Christmas I hope we can enjoy this labour of love. It's so big though! Slice anyone??? πŸ˜†

December is full of festive cheer and I want to be involved in that for all things cupcakes but let's not forget the birthdays that happen in December !

This custom order was so much fun to make. I loved getting my 'grass' icing nozzle out again! Making the small details and patterns on the cricket balls and 'cable knit' jumpers too.

I'm so happy to say that Zaki loved them πŸ˜ƒ

Wonder if he loved the cricket pun too πŸ˜‚
