For all who know me, you’ll all know how much I love baking and getting my friends to be my guinea pigs but for those who don’t know me…

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME💁🏻‍♀️:
My name is Naomi, I work in a nursery as a nursery practitioner and I am 22 years old. I LOVE baking and pushing myself to try and bake new things.
For the whole 6 years that I was in secondary school I took all the baking/ cooking subjects that I could as I’ve always found it therapeutic & I feel as though they are good skills to learn/ have.
My favourite thing to make has got to be truffles, I experiment with different flavours regularly & would be open to trying new flavours!

WHERE THE IDEA SPROUTED🌱:
The idea of me actually putting my bakes out there instead of sticking to my little circle was a very nerve wracking thing to do because just like most people, I lack confidence and don’t believe they have the ability to be ‘great’. It wasn’t until November last year that I dropped off some truffles to my friend who was ecstatic to finally have them again after not having them for over a year. He gave me the first initial idea and push to put myself & my baking out there.

WHERE THE NAME CAME FROM💡:
The same friend that I dropped off truffles to in November 2024, we were sat in his speaking about baking and how much I love it and find the calm in the storm, “why don’t you make this a goal of yours? Make a business!” I obviously sarcastically said “pfft and what would I call it? Wonky bakes” the lightbulb clicked and the shear shock on both of our faces was enough for me to push for this.
Wonky bakes became a thing as none of my bakes look identical and I seen a gap in the market for the imperfect but delicious bakes that I could provide people.

So all I can really do is thank the amount of support, love and the kick up the bum that my friends and family have given me from years ago to now.

To begin with, I would like to make smaller bakes such as cheesecakes, brownies, truffles, cupcakes, banana bread & obviously your basic tray bakes. Eventually I would like to bake bigger cakes and decorate them.

I have a food hygiene & safety certificate🫶🏻

VERY excited to be sharing this journey with everyone & so so grateful for the support and compliments I’ve received 😫😍
