Natucer was founded in 1988 , with the establishment of Spanish technology revolution. Natucer started with the technology of the quick baking which was better than the usual process of 24 hours that was the most usual in the extrusion. For us ITC (Ceramic Technology Institute) gave a big support and investing in I+D creating inside the factory a laboratory, special place to create new clays formulations to obtain minors times of baking. Natucer´s product is characterized by the set of complements that offer with each serie, like the special pieces (steps, skirtings, handrails, ... ) and the decorations for the floor and wall tiles. Always, extrusion in plane (quarry tiles) has been the specialization of the company, without getting to glaze the product in the beginning and glazing all the series at the present time, producing collections as much for exteriors and interiors. In 1997, we started producing our first extruded wall tiles, extruded with shinning surface. At this time we open a new factory of decors and complementary pieces, all these new products make handmade in Manises (Valencia-Spain) that later is transferred to Betxi (close to the main factory in Onda), this new factory called Cerbarro (Cer: ceramic + barro: clay) promotes the products with Natucer branch name. In 1999 Natucer add the rotocolor technology with 12 headstocks in each line, to decorate extruded pieces. In 2004 Natucer increased the range of formats, obtaining pieces of up to 30x60 cm. At the present has been diversified the production offering red clay extrusion and in this year 2006 extending the range to extrusion porcelain white body. Nowadays in Bechi, we are making decors for floor and wall tiles and we are extruded and press wall tiles in double baking (bicottura) in formats like: 13x13, 6.5x13, 10x10, 20x20, 15x15, 20x40,...
In 2005, Natucer started to make press tiles for wall tiles, because a lot of countries if you do not have it you can not sell, we produce series in press, red and white body. In 2006, Natucer started with the production of extruded porcelain tiles and the future of our company is going for this way. It is very difficult to make porcelain tiles in extruded machines, but we find the correct way and we make field tiles and special pieces in porcelain (I just know two factories that produce steps in porcelain body). The absorption of our porcelain is less than 0.5%. In the last years Natucer has developed more in designs, wood look, stone look, terracotta look, …, and at the same time making tiles in big sizes (for the extrusion process) 36x54, 36x60, 21x60,…, all the lines with all the special pieces: steps, skirtings, …, arriving at this time to produce a range of more than 250 different steps. Cerbarro has developed very unique lines in walls: hand made tiles, pearl finish, 5 mm thickness,…
In 2010 Natucer showed to the market the new line Life Arq, a new concept of decoration in places where nobody think as a separation walls. The Life Arq is a line for designers and with the Bamboo or Ivy the designer could be creates unique ambiances. Scale and Channel are two options to make ventilate façade in extruded porcelain. In 2012 Natucer modified the factory to produce just extruded porcelain glace tile. Natucer is a factory that is developing day to day new products and following the tendencies of the market, with the Natucer touch.
2.- THE EXTRUSION PROCESS
THE EXTRUSION
The extrusion is the process to produce the tile; usually this type of tiles is called “klinker”. If you are thinking about “klinker” in your mind, all remind extremely hard material, which cannot be worn by the time, like stones or rocks, but this material is not glazed, Natucer product is all glazed, for this reason is not called “klinker”, we call extruded. The extruded is and extremely hard and resistant product, frost-proof and acid-proof and practically non absorbent. The tile is obtained through a metal extruding of a miscellaneous of pure and high-quality ceramic clays, extremely fire-proof, subject to an industrial burning temperature up to 1250º C. 3.- NATUCER AND THE ENVIROMENT
NATUCER WITH THE NATURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT
NATUCER it owns technical facilities totally equipped with the most modern command team, we are a part of the group of companies leaders in the Ceramic manufacture, that from the beginning of its activity has been and continues being, respectful with the Nature and the conservation of the Environment, (as its name indicates NATU = natural + CER =Ceramic) by means of rigorous controls in process of manufacture guided and standardized to obtain a greater efficiency in the power consumption and saving of raw materials. The extruded system of manufacture includes in its base of main raw material the “Chamota” (Chamotte). The Chamotte is a ceramic material recycling and wet grinding, by means of the milling system, that is reused comprising of the ingredients including in the clay of a new production, contributing to the reduction of the impact caused by the consumption of natural resources.
