The title "Grandma's Taste" was inspired by the "happiness" I felt when I thought about my grandmother, which accidentally motivated me to create Thai desserts that tasted similar to those my grandmother used to cook for me as a child.

TasteAtlas has released its “Best Rated Noodle Dishes in the World” rankings for 2026, with Asian cuisine dominating the top positions. Yokohama-style ramen from Japan secured the first place, celebrated for its thick noodles and rich pork bone and soy sauce broth.

Thailand’s Khao Soi achieved second place, recognised for its unique northern-style coconut curry soup and crispy noodle topping. Japan also claimed the third and fourth spots with traditional Ramen and Tonkotsu Ramen, while China’s Lanzhou Lamian rounded out the top five.

The top 20 list features multiple entries from Vietnam and Japan, highlighting the regional popularity of Pho and various ramen styles. Austria’s Kasspatzln was the only European entry to feature in the top ten of the global rankings.

The Thai Ministry of Culture announced that “Khanom Krok” has been ranked the top Thai dessert of 2026 by the global food platform TasteAtlas. Culture Minister Sabida Thaiseth confirmed the traditional coconut pancake led the rankings, which are based on international consumer reviews and culinary ratings.

Several other Thai sweets also featured prominently in the 2026 list, including mango sticky rice, layer sweets, and deep-fried bananas. The ministry noted that these rankings demonstrate the enduring international appeal of Thailand’s culinary heritage and its role as a key cultural export.

The government plans to leverage this recognition to further promote Thai food through digital content and international festivals. This strategy aims to support local entrepreneurs and strengthen the country’s creative economy by highlighting traditional recipes and craftsmanship to a global audience.

Who says that all matcha is the same? “. That’s not true!” Even ceremonial grades vary in intensity and taste. Each brand and manufacturing source in Japan will have a distinct flavor character. My little “Khanom Khong Yaai” serves a wonderfully balanced blend of flavors, allowing you to enjoy the best matcha experience.Whether it’s Usucha or Koicha, or our signature matcha lattes or matcha coconut water, I guarantee you won’t find anything else like it. ❤️

I use this graphic to send my Ramadan Kareem greetings‼️ Did anyone try the Thai-style coconut ice cream sandwich at the Thai Food Bazaar 2026? I hope you all enjoyed it. Coconut ice cream sandwiches are a part of Thai culinary culture, often eaten with peanuts, roasted mung beans, palm fruit, and drizzled with evaporated milk. The first and simplest approach to learn about a nation’s culture is through its savory and sweet cuisine. I hope you love Thai food and sweets as much as I love fatta and mahshi. I’ve been trying to make mahshi and fatta at home. Although the flavors are a blend of Asian and Egyptian cuisine, they turned out pretty delicious. 🤭

This year was another great year at the Thai Food Bazaar 2026. This year, I tried to promote Khanom Krok (Thai coconut pancake), Khanom Ba Bin (Thai coconut cake), coconut ice cream, and various other Thai desserts, mostly OTOP (One Tambon One Product) items. Even the tablecloths were explained in detail to keep customers entertained while they waited for their treats. This can create a different kind of vibrant atmosphere. 70% of our sweets sell out on the first day of the event. Sandstorms, dust storms, tents practically flying – nothing can stop the influx of customers supporting our little ”Khanom Khong Yaai “ booth. Returning customers from the first year we participated in 2024 have followed us every year we’ve been at the Bazaar. This event has given us so much experience, especially working alone, prioritizing, maintaining focus, and solving problems on the spot. Customers don’t want to wait long but still want to buy, but in the end, “I handled it all!” It went smoothly, a happy ending 😘

Conversations were woven together through the small sweets that customers bought, creating warm moments between customers and vendors – hugs and greetings like family.

The joy comes from providing the best and most original product we can find, and customers understanding our “intention.” After four days of accumulated fatigue, the answer is:

I achieved 100% success as planned! Many thanks to Director Chat and the entire team for creating such wonderful activities that helped Thais alleviate homesickness and allowed foreigners to experience the essence of “Thailand” through delicious food.

And last but not least, thanks to all the booth staff who provided such a full range of savory and sweet dishes, making the event so vibrant and enjoyable.

Looking forward to seeing you at the next Thai event❗️
