Pasta Flora — a sweet slice of childhood.
This dessert takes me right back to mama’s kitchen, where the smell of apricot jam and buttery pastry filled the air. We’d all fight over who got the biggest piece!

It’s a beautiful, simple tart that pairs perfectly with a hot cup of tea — or a glass of milk for the little ones. It’s not meant to look perfect, because it’s meant to be made with your children, hands sticky with dough and hearts full of joy.

A tradition that began with my mom, continues with my boys, and hopefully, one day, will be passed on to the next generation. 💛

Embracing Summer: Hosts Summer Outdoor Conversation Circle

This summer, CES and our wonderful settlement Services had the pleasure of organizing our regular monthly conversation circles outdoors, taking advantage of the beautiful weather. The event, led by our wonderful took place at a picturesque location by the water. This month’s discussion centered around Canada Day and the many things our lovely newcomers cherish about Canada and their new lives here.

Special thanks to our amazing .s.downing for providing Canada flags, mini sticks, and pins from M.P. For Oxford office, adding a festive touch to the celebration. The event was a resounding success and showcased CES’s leadership in the field, reflecting our holistic approach to supporting newcomers and fostering a supportive community for them to lean on.

Always proud to be part of this group and support newcomers every day!

It’s been a while since my last cake.. This one was a special one for the U10 Oxford Attack Basketball Team that won the championship this year! I couldn’t be more proud of these little guys including my son, their coaches and parents that supported them. A sweet way to say bye to this season.. See you all in September 🎉🎉🎉
