These winter scrunchies were also a new addition to the clay & sage family this year. I’ve done botanically dyed scrunchies for nearly a year now, but I loved the idea of using thrifted or upcycled fabric for scrunchies as well. It gives me a wider colour and texture palette to play with. I carefully chose these patterns to match with what I felt was already a clay & sage feel and I love the way they turned out. I think the mossy green ones are my favourite, but I’m also partial to the green and red plaid with the hint of gold running through. I’ll have them all with me at and this weekend!⁣

Something about dried orange Christmas décor just screams Anne of Green Gables or Little Women to me. I just love the old-fashioned natural touch they add to any space. To make them even cooler (I know, I know, how could they possibility be cooler?!), I’ve used thrifted ribbon to hang them, and a wooden bead that you can add cinnamon, clove, or citrus oil to for an added Christmassy smell to your space. Story time with Sarah. Whenever I make paper, I always end up with extra pulp that is too watered down in my vat to form a nice 8x10 sheet of paper. For ages, this frustrated me because I’d always have to dry the excess pulp in a blob and re-pulpify it for next time. However, I realized that if I poured this extra water and pulp into a smaller vat and used a smaller mould and deckle, I could often pull about a dozen mini 4x6 pages. Wild. ⁣
These Christmas prints are the excess pulp from my 8x10 cedar-embedded sheets that I use for my Christmas cards. They feature two of my favourite Christmas phrases on them, evocative of childhood memories carolling, sitting in wonder looking at the Christmas tree lights, building snowmen, eating baked goods by the fire, reading the Christmas story on Christmas morning. I hope you love them as well. ✨

Soldered flower frames are a new addition to the clay & sage family and I must say, I absolutely love them. If you were here last Christmas, you may remember I did a series of just copper foil wrapped frames but, as pretty as they were, I love the finished look of these more. As, not pictured here, but I’ve been added thin chain to them as well so that you can hang them.⁣

I’ll have a selection of them with me at both and December 9th, 10th, and 11th. What type of flowers would you like to see framed?

At an event a few months back, someone looked at my affirmation prints and said, “They’re beautiful, but what if I don’t want the world to know I need this reminder? What if I wanted to be reminded of it in a smaller way?” And thus, affirmation bookmarks were born.⁣
