Today was a day of rain. Much needed rain!! The plans I had to continue building the little goat barn went by the wayside, so instead, I decided to bake and open the Farm stand tomorrow even though I said it would be closed until later in June! I started this afternoon at 2:30 and was completely done by 9:30, a much shorter bake than I am used to doing! But still many things to offer on the shelves tomorrow. Bread will be baked first thing tomorrow morning, and will still be warm when it opens at 10 AM.

“The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry”

So… It’s raining… A lot… Everything is soaking wet outside, and I’m not able to get out and work on the little goat barn.

But it’s dry inside, and I do have a little bake shop kitchen! And I do have baking ingredients on hand…

The Farm Stand will be open tomorrow starting at 10 AM for an off schedule pop-up !

I have no idea yet what I will bake, but I’ll post all of that first thing in the morning tomorrow!

Only a couple weeks until the Farm Stand opens up again for the summer season!

Sunday June 21st will be the day

… and then the plan is every Sunday after that for the remainder of the summer

There will be the odd week where I’ll open a different day when I am scheduled to work a weekend at my regular job, but I’ll post that in advance as soon as I know!

And we have hay again!

Thank you Suzie Kargus the goats LOVE it and settled in to sleep after a much anticipated late evening supper.

Thanks to everyone keeping an eye out for me, and to Petra's Paintings who found the hay for sale!

The goats could smell it as I was coming up the drive and were hanging off the gate asking for their supper. Even though they have a field full of weeds, they want this nourishing food as a base to keep those babies growing so they can be born healthy and strong.

Arrived home just at dusk and piled it into the smaller hay shed in the dark. Safe under the roof before the rain tomorrow.

Kelsey Fuller Creations you have that farmer drive in you, and I’m impressed with how you can throw a bale of hay! Thank you for helping me.

If anyone is needing some hay for feed, Suzie still has more for sale at a really great price. Message me and I’ll share her ad with you.

It will need to be evening pick ups because I work all week

There are some duck eggs too, they’re $8/dozen or $4/6. Best baking eggs ever!
