It turned out to be a great day! Celebrating the birthday girl and enjoying the beautiful weather with our first fire.
(Don’t look too close at the cake, you have no idea how long that took Jess and I! 😂. Whoever can get fondant smooth, you deserve a medal!!)

Happy 15th birthday to this sweet girl who first made me a mom! 🎂
She is so smart and talented, outgoing and self motivated. She keeps us on our toes and I couldn’t imagine our family without her ❤️

It’s not very often I get to spend time just with my sisters! Between the 5 of us we have 19 kiddos, so it’s usually pretty hectic when we get together 😂
We had a great time hiking up to Bertha Falls though! It is so beautiful! The burnt trees add a their own beauty to it ❤️

I love having a teenager who loves to bake! Our house is full of delicious things!
Sticky buns and donuts (just waiting for their icing) today.
Also, I’m loving having space to put up my punching bag! The kiddos were showing me how it’s done! Lol

So, here is a little of what we’ve been up to lately.
We moved out to our acreage and we’ve been just been getting settled and discovering our new surroundings.
I love all the green around us, it’s so beautiful!
I had to take a picture of the sky today because it was so cool looking!
Mark and I and our little adventure buddy went on a walk to discover our property after church today. We found some cool little spots! We even found a marshy pond with frogs that Alexa was very excited about, and got to say hi to the neighbors horses.
Yesterday we took a short trip to half moon lake and visited with a friend while the kids played in the freezing water.
We even got to discover some fun parks near us.
And amid all the craziness of moving I went for a root canal. Not very fun, but Dr Bustamante was excellent. Would definitely recommend!

It always seems like a good idea until you have to put everything into boxes! 😅
The good news and bad news is that we only have one more day until we get to take it all out again! (Not sure whether to laugh or cry!)
When all this is over I’m taking a really big nap! Lol

I just came home from a walk with the kiddos and now I need something warm in my tummy!
Hot oatmeal with bananas and strawberries was just the thing for a rainy day like this! 😋

Sunday night dessert calls for chocolate pudding cake! (I have no idea if there is an actual name for this, that’s just what we’ve always called it!)
It is SO good, and every time I make it it still brings back memories of when I was younger and my mom would make it Sunday evenings and we’d sit down and watch a family movie together or play card games.
I love when food has wonderful memories tied to it ❤️

Exciting news!! We bought a house! 😆
We have waited so long for this, it’s still hard to believe!
We are so excited, but also a little sad to leave our community here. Thankfully we won’t be too far away ❤️
A huge thank you to for being the best realtor, you made this process so much easier!

Happy birthday to our little firecracker who keeps us on our toes and gives the best snuggles!
Covid parties aren’t the greatest, but we set up a cupcake table outside and said hi to our friends who care by, and it was actually pretty awesome 😊.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and made this day special for her!
Also, having teenagers who will decorate for you so you don’t have to rush through it at midnight is pretty awesome, even when they get super silly with the balloons! 😂
These kids crack me up!

Spring is the time everyone wants to get their yards looking fancy so they can enjoy it all summer!
Feel free to follow my amazing hubby for lawn care tips and info about landscaping (and whatever else he feels like posting!)
