Someone recently asked me what makes SGB products ā€œhealthierā€ — and honestly, I loved this question!

Because it’s never been about feeling guilty or shameful about craving a ā€œsweetā€ treat.

It’s about intention.

It’s about sourdough and fermenting my dough longer so you can reap the healthy gut benefits.

It’s about choosing better ingredients and sugars that leave you feeling better.

It’s about creating baked goods that FEEL just as good as they taste in your body.

I wanted treats that still felt deeply indulgent but WITHOUT all the unnecessary junk.

So that’s what I created.

Sweet Girl Bakes is my way of redefining what sweet means ✨

We put WAY too much pressure on ourselves to BECOME someone else so we can get the thing that we want but we don’t need to do that anymore..

Because it’s already within us - we just need to get out of our damn way and stop letting our egos lead!

This is probably the ONE thing I hear at my booth…

ā€œI can’t. I’m trying to be good.ā€

And honestly? I always take it as a compliment because it means the scrolls look THAT good 🤤

But it also makes me a little sad how many people have been taught to feel guilty for enjoying food - especially ā€œsweetā€ treats. 🫣

Food was never meant to be a reward or punishment.

You shouldn’t have to ā€œearnā€ dessert.

You shouldn’t feel bad for enjoying something sweet.

And one cinnamon roll isn’t the thing standing between you and health, happiness, confidence, or balance - it’s highlighting the unconscious beliefs you have surrounding food.

Especially the products I create - ones made with intentional ingredients.. sourdough, slow fermentation, no seed oils, monk fruit, coconut sugar aka ingredients you can actually recognize and say outloud.

The goal isn’t obsession.
The goal is balance.

Eat the scroll and enjoy your life šŸ’—

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with buying treats from Costco or the grocery store.

I just realized I personally wanted something different… so I built it. šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

I wanted baked goods made with ingredients I could recognize.

I wanted desserts that felt comforting and indulgent without leaving me feeling physically awful afterwards.

And honestly? One of the biggest compliments I receive is that people feel GOOD after eating my products. šŸŽ‰

And that matters so much to me.

SGB has never been about perfection, restriction, or guilt around food.

It’s about creating baked goods that feel intentional, delicious and worth slowing down for.

Because I truly believe food carries energy and I want people to feel cared for when they eat what I make.

That’s the difference.
