Happy Easter!! 🐇
The Easter drop box included: peach cookies, mini egg cracker toffee, pistachio sandwich cookies, pink lady squares, and “devilled egg” brownies. I might have some regrets about the colour of the egg cookie filling. Something like a lemon curd would have been more colour appropriate. But what can I say, I was blinded by my desire to use pistachio cream 🤭 which treat is your favourite?

Maple carrot cake 👩‍🌾
I first had this cake at a wedding a decade ago and it’s been my go-to carrot cake since. But this is the first time I’ve made the candied carrot strips on top. It was a nice topping idea but next time I’d put the carrots in fun curls before drying instead of these twigs 😂
Also didn’t put tons of effort into the icing job cause I just wanted to eat it 😁

🥨 PRETZEL DROP 🥨
How does one improve upon soft, fresh, homemade pretzels? There’s not a ton of room for improvement, but when in doubt, add cheese! Introducing two new variations on my soft pretzels: cheddar & herb and garlic & parm.
One order comes with three (3) soft pretzels and costs $10. You can mix and match flavours within an order! Just let me know when you order what flavour(s) you want. Send me a message with your order by March 9th and have pretzels delivered straight to your door on March 14th.

The 2025 gingerbread is here! This one was a lot of fun to build and decorate. I loved making all the tiny plants inside (and was pleasantly surprised at how many plant/flower candies the Bulk Barn had!) and I couldn’t resist the Christmas light shaped candies to add some Christmas flair to the house. It was my first time using modelling chocolate for the flower pots…clearly something that takes some work to get a perfectly smooth finish. One of my favourite parts of making these gingerbread houses is finding edible versions of items and using some creativity to represent things in food. Gelatine sheets were the perfect ‘glass’ for my greenhouse. And the cross hatch pattern that comes on the sheets makes for a very picturesque stained glass look! Of course, Oreo crumbs make the perfect dirt. The tiny wheelbarrow might just be my favourite part.
This gingerbread greenhouse only used ½ a batch of dough, which was a welcome change from some of the behemoths that I’ve made in previous years that needed 2 or ever sometimes 3 batches of gingerbread! Not much gingerbread to actually eat in this one, but I’m personally in it for the candies anyways.
This is also the first time I’ve made the gingerbread house entirely in my apartment, and not in my parents spacious kitchen. I’m happy to say it mostly survived the drive to London (only a couple of toppled plant pots).
Merry Christmas everyone! May your gingerbread houses always be structurally sound 💝

Swirl sugar cookies. The fact that I rolled half with green on the outside and the others with red on the outside was unintentional, but a very happy accident! I like that it creates two different swirls. If anybody has any tips on how to get the sprinkles to stick to the outside, let me know. My floor was covered with Christmas nonpareils and I’m sure I’ll continue to find them well into the new year 😅 these were also in the December

Stained glass cookies ✨⛪️
This is one of my favourite effects to do in a cookie. I love holding them up to the light and seeing the colours shine. This year, I decided to try drawing on the cookies to make them look like an actual stained glass window and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! These went into the December
And maybe glass is a hint at this year’s gingerbread house 👀 the big reveal will be soon!
