IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
This week I've had to make a very difficult decision. I am going to be taking a hiatus from Sweet Strudel Cakes to allow myself some time to focus on my career (yup, I have a day job too!) and my family. It was a terribly difficult decision to make, but it's the right thing for me and my family at this time.
I will be honoring ALL orders that have currently been placed with me (don't worry, I'd never leave you hanging like that!) and will continue doing family cakes, and smash cakes Nicole Israel Photography . So I won't be completely disappearing!
I'd like to take this time to thank all of you. Without your support, Sweet Strudel Cakes could not have been this successful. I'd also like to thank my head dishwasher, Grahame Strawson, for his support, and thousands of dishes that he has washed over the years!

I have known Lauren for many years, so I was honored to be asked to make her wedding cake. Her wedding was held at Church and State Wineries, one of my favorite venues! The top and bottom layer were vanilla cake with raspberry gelee, and the middle layer was chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. This weekend was my little girl's 4th birthday. To celebrate we had a Princess Tea Party. Mrs Potts was Earl Grey tea cake, with lavender simple syrup and vanilla buttercream. The middle tier was Lemon raspberry coconut, and the bottom tier was orange creamsicle. The tea cups were made of sugar paste, and the Ariel and Tinkerbell were sculpted out of modelling chocolate. Next up was an elegant 30th birthday cake. With an ombre white black and gold color scheme and edible gold sprinkles! The top tier was chocolate cake with mint buttercream, and the bottom tier was a classic vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream.
