I ran The Pantry for 3 years until we got hit by Covid. We loved our little café and bakery mostly because of our clients. It was a home-away-from-home for a great many community members and truly our passion was to feed everyone healthy, homemade meals made with ingredients from our wonderful local producers and our very own farm, Hazelwood Gardens. I have moved my energies to my own farm, Hazelw
ood Gardens, where my family and myself grow well.....hazel nuts ( at the moment they are still growing, not producing much yet) , we make maple syrup and we grow oodles of garlic and all kinds of produce. We intend to keep with the idea of producing foods with as local and as organic as possible as well as partnering with our local farmers to source whatever we don't grow ourselves. Currently we are finalizing the last details in our commercial kitchen. It will be given the seal of approval by the EOHU before we start using it. We are reusing as much of The Pantry equipment and such as possible so it brings that wonderful energy to the place :)
We will be offering breads, sweets by order, soups and such. We may even start up selling our lotions and potions again ( soaps, balms, creams made with local harvested ingredients). We want to be a hub for local goodness once more. We are surrounded by bounty and want to share!! Please understand that our farm is a private home. We are happy to schedule pick ups, but we are not a petting zoo as we are not zoned or insured for such. That doesn't mean that if you come to pick up an order you won't catch a glimpse of the bountiful inhabitants, furry and feathered, of the farm however as they roam pretty freely and are living their best lives.
