Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 🌕
Aka Mooncake Festival. Think of it as moon appreciation day that marks the end of the autumn harvest. There are some interesting folktales on this festival, one of them involves a bunny living on the moon.

I miss my mom’s baked mooncakes, there is only 1 type I like and she knows how to make it just the way I like it.

I’ve made a snowy skin black sesame & walnut moon cake to celebrate this holiday.

Many years ago, while I was traveling in Mexico, I came across a tequila cocktail that is rimmed with something salty, citrusy, and spicy. It was unlike anything I ever had before. At the time the bartender only told me it was spicy chili, so I didn’t know it was Tajin seasoning. Until couple days later I watched this street vendor sprinkling this magical seasoning on my fresh cut mangos, I was in love.

Gummy X Alcohol
As I was prepping to make some sour grapefruit gummy last week, 💡 moment went off in my head that I could make Tequila Grapefruit Gummy and roll it in my favorite seasoning to re-create that amazing drink I had in a Mexico.

The gummy is made with real Tequila and 100% natural grapefruit juice, best part of it is you can have this during work hour 😉

Happy New Year 🎉🎉

Here is one more for the holiday season......Sticky Toffee Pudding, may 2021 be as sweet as this dessert for all you lovelies out there.

A bite of warm sticky toffee pudding with chilled rum whipped cream will let you know that you are truly blessed.

🤫 Currently working on a recipe video for this. Wish me luck, as I never done this before!! Really hope it’s going to turn out.

Couple years ago I made a Christmas pudding that I set up in flam before serving. This year my friend told me about Irish Christmas cake, so I started this cake back in November and fed it whisky every 10 days for close to 5 weeks. It was going to be ready on Christmas Day, except after the last boozy feeding I completely forgot it’s existence until few days ago 🤦‍♀️ oh well life happens, the cake got a few more days to deepen the flavour, no harm done.

Also this is suppose to be fed Irish whisky to be called Irish Christmas cake, but I only have Canadian whisky 🤷‍♀️
Made with homemade candies orange and marzipan.

Final count down to Christmas Day🎄🦌
I usually gift baked goods to my neighbors during this time of year, but with what’s going on I better not.

Since family Christmas dinner will be a little bit 2D this year. I made a special cookie box for my parents-in-law, hoping they can still feel some family love this holiday season.

They are special because they are not as sweet as traditional holiday cookies, and full on adult boozy rum balls 🤣

Hello December, the start of the holiday baking. It is the month to fill your home with the smell of all the yummy baked goods from your oven.

I started this cookie batter early because it requires 48hours of resting time to deepen the flavour. Yes it is long but trust me it’s so worth it! The brown butter and the surprise of chewy toffee with a hint of coffee and chocolate with a tiny kick of sea salt. oh soooo amazing. What a good way to start the holiday.
What do you like with your cookie? Milk, tea or coffee? And do you dip your cookie in the drink or drink it on the side?

Not your ordinary granola bar, because it’s flapjack!! This wholesome bar is made with rye flakes, pumpkin seeds, and dried cranberries, which means it is packed with antioxidants and proteins. They look deceptively healthy, but they are made with maple syrup and so much butter goodness.

Try crumble it into your salad for extra crunch or your morning cereal for extra sweetness.

Imagine a flaky pie crust with layers of warm spiced cheesecake topped with apple pie filling. This delicious dessert combination is what dreams are made of.
