Afghan Kulche Tandoori

 (also called Kulcha-e-Tandoori) is a traditional Afghan baked bread or biscuit-style pastry that’s usually made in a tandoor oven. Depending on the region and family recipe, it can be:

slightly sweet,crunchy or soft flavored with cardamom, sesame, nigella seeds, or fennel,and often enjoyed with chai.

Unlike Indian kulcha bread that’s soft and savory for curries, Afghan tandoori kulche is more like a rustic tea biscuit or baked flat pastry.

Many Afghan families make it for: Eid,gatherings,travel snacks,or everyday tea time.
