These latkes are super authentic tasting! Avra serves them every year to her vegan & non-vegan friends and family and they are always a hit with everyone.

Hey Toronto! Toronto's newest VEGAN Mexican eatery La Bartola officially opens THIS weekend 🌮 🌮 🌮

Service will launch at the 588 College Street joint on Saturday, July 25, where eats will be available to enjoy on the patio, or for takeout.

In good news for Toronto-based veggie lovers, the city's newest Mexican eatery, La Bartola, is opening up shop on July 25.

Here’s a message from our festival producer and Vegan Social Events creator Avra - Love Wild Live Free:⁣

Festivals like mine take a lot of planning and require a significant investment of time to ensure their success. From late 2019 until this March I had been working tirelessly to make the 2020 festival the best yet. I had lined up a title sponsor, organized everything with Organic Garage (our venue partner), and was ready to start accepting vendor applications. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
When we first heard about COVID-19 hitting North America, I was getting ready to fly out to California to attend Natural Products Expo West New Hope Network, and I had all of my materials prepared to promote the festival and secure support. The expo was canceled one day before I was set to fly out, the first indication I had that things would be different this year...⁣⁣
⁣⁣
As a small company, Vegan Social Events have mainly been executed by myself - most people don’t realize that it’s a one-person operation! I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to produce my events because I’ve had help from my friends & volunteers, local creators & contractors, and the support of our amazing community. I’ve been privileged to produce festivals that are free to attend, accessible, inclusive, and diverse - for that I am grateful. 🙏⁣⁣

I’ve been pretty quiet on the Vegan Social Events platforms because I wasn’t really sure what to say. It’s been a lot to digest and I’ve been going through all of the feelings.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Now that things have changed, I’m not sure what the future of Vegan Social Events will look like. I host my events out of my passion to support the vegan movement, and as a service to the local vegan community, small business, and entrepreneurs.⁣⁣

I know that these times haven’t been easy. To all of the small business owners and entrepreneurs facing unprecedented challenges and who’ve had to pivot - I see you, and I’m here with you. We’re all in this together.❤️⁣⁣
