March break diet included chicken fingers, pizza, chicken fingers and the occasional French fry. This week we’re craving alllll the veggies and home cooked meals. I love meals like soups and stir-fry that I can throw a bunch of veggies into and no one’s the wiser...in other words, I trick my kids sometimes. 🤷🏽‍♀️It’s for their own good, I swear! Ushering in the season of scarves, sweaters, soups and pumpkin everything. This weather is my absolute favourite - in the kitchen and in my closet. These pumpkin muffins were 👌🏽 in every way, right down to the crunchy sugar topping. I also just love the way the tops crack...that’s when you know you did it right. Do you love fall baking? Latest food obsession: spiralized veggie noodles. I know I’m a bit late to the game here, but I’m here and loving every bit of it. All of the noodle feels without the carb coma. And bonus - they take way less time to cook. Just sauté them for a minute or two and they’re al dente and you can serve them with/over/under anything. Tell me, do you spiralize your veggies? Which are your faves?

Because...balance, right? While I know I may never achieve it, I try to incorporate little things everyday to help me along the journey. I used to throw it out the window while on vacation; you know, fall off the wagon and eat fries at every meal. And while I’m definitely not a changed person, I’m striving every day to try and live a more balanced life. And if that means lemon water alongside my rose, so be it.
