You know Christmas is coming when you’re baking Scalille. Always have been a staple in my life. Remembering how happy and excited we were when we knew my Nonna Maria was making them. Waiting patiently to try one. Once she passed away, I took it upon myself to make them for the family and carry on this beautiful tradition. First small batch all complete. Haven’t posted in a very long time but never late than never is what I like to say. This weekend is a Thanksgiving with both sides of the family. So decided to make something i enjoy to make for dessert. My all new and improved Apple Pie Flakies. Start off with my home made puff pastry. Then add a layer of my secret apple pie filling finished with a nice dollop of my homemade chantilly cream. Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends and family ♥️♥️
