One of my favorite parts of creating custom cookies is watching someone’s ideas become edible art, and this set was especially meaningful because it came straight from the imagination of my sweet granddaughter.

My first attempt at these Lover cookies looked beautiful… but apparently I made tie-dye, not clouds. ☁️

The birthday girl (and designer of the entire cookie set) was quick to tell@me the tye dyed were so pretty but I wanted her set to be perfect … so it was back to the drawing board. Thankfully, Version 2.0 earned the coveted “Iris Approved” rating. 💖✨

And honestly? She was right.

My granddaughter turned 8 and created her dream Swiftie-inspired cookie set, complete with guitars, microphones, disco balls, butterflies, heart sunglasses, and lots of pink. Watching her ideas come to life was the best part of making these cookies.

There’s something so calming about slowly layering soft petals, blending colours, and adding little touches of gold detail one brushstroke at a time. Every flower turns out a little different, which is part of what makes painted floral cookies so beautiful.

These rose cookies felt so elegant and timeless to create. I love how each flower turned out slightly different, giving the whole set a soft watercolor floral feel while still fitting together beautifully.

The blush pink tones with touches of gold made these feel romantic, feminine, and almost vintage inspired. Simple designs like this can sometimes be my favourite because every brushstroke and tiny detail stands out 💗

A little dirt never hurt 🛞🤎

These Jeep-inspired cookies were full of muddy trails, off-road adventures, and rustic details. The tire cookies might be my favourite — especially the muddy tread detail! Paired with the classic checkered flags and scenic Jeep cookies, this set turned out rugged and fun while still keeping that handmade cookie charm.
