Health Department inspection passed with flying colours.
Got my door sticker to show everyone my place is certified by Huron Perth Public Health. Now the adventure begins. As soon as the final touches are done, I will be inviting you for the Grand Opening.

Today I installed an illuminated egress sign, with battery back up and flood lights pointing to the staircase in the basement, as ordered by my fire chief. I forgot how much of a pain it is to cut armoured cable (bx). At least I did'nt cut my hands like I usually did.

I just put the beef shawarma in the slow cooker. It has been marinating in the fridge since yesterday late afternoon. I can smell it from across the house.

I think the marinade/sauce needs just a little adjustment. My dog is hanging around the kitchen looking at me with big eyes. Lol

Today a lovely English couple came into the bakery and asked if I was open yet. I said very close but not yet. Then they told me they just got back from a vacation in Malta. Well, almasun, an hour goes by. Talking about Malta, and British football, wine making. For me, this is the best part of the entire business. Meeting wonderful people like them really lifts my spirits. Then the same afternoon I had three more people come in asking if Im open yet and spent the next two hours answering questions about cooking and Maltese history. Maybe I should change the name to Valletta Social Club!! Lmao!!
