🍂 HELLO, FALL. WE’VE BEEN EXPECTING YOU. 🎃

It’s officially fall, which can only mean one thing, new things are coming. And we have a lot up our sleeves. 👀

Autumn Colours Collection is live on the website! Pumpkin spice flavours are making their way in, lunch is getting a little shake up, new products are coming (and a few of you have already had a sneaky preview, hey, After Dark Tea family 👋🏻😉), and there are new flavours on the horizon too.

We’ve already managed to sell out of our Lemon Meringue Pie because apparently we couldn’t help ourselves or wait. 😂🥧

So, first up for fall? PIE.

Need one for later? Pre-order online and guarantee your pie, because the last thing you want is to have guests arriving and realise you’ve got nothing to put on the table. We would simply never let you live that down. 😉

🥂 AFTER DARK TEA, WHAT A NIGHT. 🖤

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our very first After Dark Tea. What a way to see out the summer, indulgent, intimate, a little mischievous, and most certainly one for the books.

A very special thank you to Chef Jssel Hysiuk and Jared Bugyi for creating those absolutely show stopping courses. From the first bite to the final dessert, you two certainly understood the assignment. 👏🏻✨

And the curated wine pairings, I trust the wine did not disappoint, because from where I was standing, I saw an awful lot of empty glasses. 🍷😉

Of course, an evening like this doesn’t happen without the behind the scenes team. Thank you to everyone who prepped, poured, plated, served, cleared, organized, and kept everything moving like absolute clockwork. You may not have been in the spotlight, but you were a huge part of the magic.

And finally, thank YOU for coming, eating, drinking, laughing and trusting us with our first After Dark adventure.

The first one is officially in the books… and something tells me it won’t be the last. 🖤🥂 Was that an accidental nod to round 2… watch this space.

We’ve officially launched our new Tips section on the website, featuring:

🎂 Cake Handling 101 — how to pick it up, carry it and, most importantly, how to get it home in one beautiful piece.

🍰 Cake Flavours 101 — a little deep dive into our flavours, fillings and all the delicious details so you know exactly what you’re ordering.

🔪 Cake Serving 101 — how to bring your cake to its best, including the all-important room temperature rule, how to cut it properly and how to get those gorgeous, perfect slices.

And yes… we’re doing this because we’ve seen a few reviews and comments lately that have reminded us that Cake 101 is apparently necessary. 😂

For our long time Queen City Cakes customers, consider this a little refresher. 💕
And if you’re a first timer, please have a read before your cake day, because even the most fabulous cake needs a some TLC once it leaves our hands.

The secret is finally out. The whispers have become a little louder, the tea has been poured, and the Witches Tea is officially here. 🕯️☕️

A Halloween Afternoon Tea inspired by the strong women throughout history who were labelled witches simply for daring to be different, powerful, knowledgeable and unapologetically themselves.

This is more than tea. It’s a celebration of strength, rebellion and women who refused to shrink themselves. And most importantly, this special event is raising funds for the Regina Sexual Assault Centre, helping support those affected and giving strength where it’s needed most. 🖤

Not every story was written by those who held the quill.
Not every woman who stood apart was welcomed for it.
And not every woman who dared to speak was celebrated for being brave.

Some were simply called witches. 🧙‍♀️

This October, we’re bringing something new to Queen City Cakes, an experience inspired by mystery, history, courage and the women who dared to be different.

But for now, we’ll only give you a few clues. 👀

🕯️ A teacup will be raised.
🌙 History will be revisited.
🖤 Some stories deserve to be heard.
🎃 Something wickedly delicious is coming to the table.
❤️ And there’s a reason behind it all.

One Sunday.
One very special table.
