Unfortunately our sourdough got neglected over the weekend (we were preoccupied with more pressing matters) and the extra day closed made it unhappy. We won’t have sourdough for the next couple days while it revives but we will have our flavoured crusty loaves and plain crusty loaves.
What’s the diff? Our sourdough does not use yeast, only the starter, flour, water and salt.
Our crusty loaves also ferment for 12-14 hours but we use yeast in them to give it a boost due to the ingredients having extra moisture and weight.
