Starting a business while raising children is hard.

Because every mom is carrying a little extra on her plate whatever that may look like. 🤍

For me, it’s the appointments, therapies and added responsibilities that come with raising a son with diverse abilities.

But like so many mothers building businesses, I keep going because I want to give my children the safety, opportunities and life I never had.

Some days I wonder if I’m doing enough. Then I look at my children and remember exactly why I started.

This is for every mom raising her babies while building a better future for them. You’re carrying more than most people see and you’re still moving forward. That makes you unstoppable. 🤍

Two years took us from farmers markets to our own commercial kitchen and scaling with machines.

Keep pushing. You never know how big your dream could become. 🤍🤎🍪

Confessions of a Cookie Vendor 🍪

If you’ve worked a market, you KNOW there are a few questions you’re guaranteed to hear at least 47 times.

But all jokes aside, the best part of doing markets has always been the people. 🤎

The familiar faces, the new customers, the little conversations and the genuine connections we’ve made along the way.

You guys make the long market days worth it. 🥹🍪

I used to be afraid to charge what my cookies were actually worth. $6 felt like the ceiling anything more and I thought people would walk away.

So I did the math. Ingredients, time, overhead, my own labor. Undercharging wasn’t kindness it was quietly running myself into the ground.

Cookies are $7.50 now. We’ve sold over 1,700 in a single 2 day pop up. That pricing shift is what let me invest in a fully licensed commercial kitchen and real equipment not a hobby anymore, an actual business.

If you’re underpricing because you’re scared, know this: charging what you’re worth is what lets the business and you actually grow. 🍪🤎🤍

Save this for the day you finally raise your prices.

THE PART OF RUNNING A COOKIE BUSINESS NO ONE SEES 🍪

Baking the cookies is only the beginning. Behind every finished batch are dozens of little steps that help us create a product we’re proud to sell.

Two years ago, we were figuring this out from our home kitchen for local farmers’ markets. Today, we’re baking thousands from our own commercial kitchen.

We didn’t learn everything at once. We learned one batch at a time and so will you.

Follow for the honest behind the scenes of building a small town cookie business. 🤎

Every cookie baker has had the same thought:

“What if this doesn’t work?”

I started in my home kitchen, making one batch at a time. No commercial kitchen. No cookie machine. No guarantee that this little cookie business would become anything bigger.

But then I started asking a different question:

What if it does?

What if those small orders grow?
What if you outgrow your home kitchen?
What if one day you’re buying ingredients in bulk and watching a machine make the cookies you once rolled by hand?

You don’t need the perfect kitchen, expensive equipment or the entire plan figured out before you begin.

Start with the kitchen you have.
Start with the recipe you believe in.
Start with one batch. 🍪

Because your small beginning might be building something much bigger than you can see yet.

Send this to a home baker who needs a reminder to keep going. 🤎

Prince George, we’re rolling into The Renaissance Fair TODAY and TOMORROW with giant stuffed cookies and absolutely no self control. 🍪

We’re bringing our summer flavours because apparently every kingdom needs an emotional support cookie. 😂

The Renaissance Fair has become one of our favourite unconventional vendor events. It taught us that your product doesn’t need to match the theme your customers just need to be there and hungry.

Renaissance fairs, rodeos, trade shows…apparently, we’ll sell cookies anywhere people gather and make questionable snack decisions.

Swipe through for the unexpected events that have helped us grow our baking business, meet new customers and have a hell of a lot more fun along the way.

If you’re struggling to keep up with cookie orders by hand, eventually working harder stops being the answer.

We rolled more than 25,000 stuffed cookies by hand before investing in bakery automation and buying the machine was only the beginning. There were failed tests, recipe adjustments and one hell of a learning curve.

But scaling a cookie business means building systems that don’t depend entirely on your hands.

Follow our journey and I’ll share the exact machine information and everything we learned to help other bakers trying to scale. 🍪
