I have some exciting news to share!

After running my home bakery for the last two years through markets and custom orders, I’m finally taking the step into a physical space. Island Crumb Co. will be sharing a space with Haida Gwaii Kayak at 125 Oceanview Drive in the City Centre building.

The plan for this summer is to keep things simple: small-batch baked goods, basic coffee and tea drinks, and easy grab-and-go breakfast options. My goal is to create something cozy, affordable, and community-focused for both locals and visitors. Winter will bring a more varied menu, along with opportunities for small community events and gatherings.

Some of you may remember, a little less than 20 years ago, when my gramma ran Labelle’s Cosmetics and I was her little helper; stocking shelves, dusting displays, and selling lotto tickets (shhh 🤫). I’m so grateful and excited to continue a family history of small business ownership in this space.

My goal with Island Crumb Co. isn’t rapid expansion, but to build something reliable, sustainable, and rooted in the community for years to come. Thank you to everyone who has bought a bun at the market, shared my posts, placed orders, or encouraged me over the last couple of years. Every bit of support helped make this possible.

Our first day open will be Friday, May 15th, and we’ll be open 7 days a week from 8:30 AM–5:00 PM for the rest of the summer.
