I found this old sketchbook.

Remember those?

Before 3d prints and ai. Before instagram and facebook and podcasts.

I used to scratch things on paper. Only partially thought through. The rest came in the act of actually making the thing. Trial and error. Before we discovered scribbling on napkins and making cardboard models was inefficient and naive.

Now we doom-scroll for our inspiration, iterate our 4K dreams and hit print. Progress and relapse all at once.

The old ways are dead!

There is something about haute pink and black.

It just works.

We don’t usually encourage painting a naked titanium velocipede, but when the result is this fun, how could we do otherwise?

This is Michael’s second naked and we are delighted to send it off into the Vermont wilds with him!

Who ever said “never meet your hero’s” obviously never met Ryan Leech. ��I have followed Ryan’s career since his early days as professional trials rider. I have a very well worn and scratched DVD of “Mastering the Art of Trials”. In this I was first introduce to his “Manifesto Style”, a philosophy of flow that hast shaped his life, teaching growth as a human. This has always resonated with me. In those early days of MTB it was refreshing to see someone understand that mountain bike was far more than loud music and sick edits. It was a lifestyle. A way of connecting with your environment in the simplest way possible, without a bunch of extra “hops” and wasted movement. ��This sums up our friendship as well. To be honest, we have actually spent very little time together, but each meeting is heartful, connected and real. Each time, I am reminded of what Mountain Biking can be when you are curious and open your heart to the possibilities that human being, trail and machine can create together.��It was honour to work on Ryan’s ONE mountain bike with him. Building the right bridges.
It is not just about bracing two separate entities. It is about learning to do it with grace, kindness, curiosity and proper timing. The more bridges you build, the better you get at it. The previously lonely members will forever be changed and stronger for the introduction when done mindfully.
We do not need bridges everywhere.
Just the right ones at the right time.

This is coming out in a week and I was lucky enough to get an advance copy. The level of craftsmanship, stories and photography of these wonderful bicycle builders is stunning.
