This was such a fun cake to make! My friends son wanted a poutine inspired cake for his birthday! The "poutine" is actually French toast strips, with buttercream "cheese curds" 😜🍞

Made this cake for my husbands grandpa’s 90th birthday celebration! He was in the Airforce and we tried to incorporate that into the cake, hence the plane. The cake and some cupcakes are a take on his favourite dessert which is lemon meringue pie — so naturally we did a lemon cake with lemon curd in between each layer, with a lemon buttercream and meringue cookies on top. The 2nd pic is the lemon cupcakes, these are mini versions of the cake topped with a lemon buttercream and a mini meringue cookies. The 3rd pic was for the non lemon lovers — vanilla cupcakes with a cream cheese buttercream 🍋✈️
