Some of my fondest childhood memories are of helping my Mom mix banana bread batter in the kitchen and devouring the many homemade birthday cakes she made me each year. Those memories are what led me to my passion and current career as a Baker and Cake Decorator. I have now been baking professionally since February 2007. I started as a high school co-op student at Blackhoney Bakery in 2006 where I
worked my way up to being the Head Baker and Cake Decorator. Somewhere along the way, I received my Baking and Pastry Arts Certificate from Algonquin College (2012). In 2020 I had a baby and decided it was time for a new adventure. I am now working as a baker at Emily Mae’s Cookies and Sweets. Not only do I bake professionally, on occasion when it fits into my schedule I bake from home! Offering family, friends, and friends of friends home made baked goods (bread, tarts, pies, cookies, square & brownies, etc) and cakes from my own fabulous kitchen.
