This is one of the hardest posts we’ve ever had to write 🤍
After a lot of thought, conversations, and sleepless nights, we’ve made the decision that The Vanilla Room will be closing.
This decision has absolutely nothing to do with our customers. We are endlessly grateful for every single person who has walked through our doors. You have shown us so much kindness, support, and care over the years — truly some of the most amazing humans we could have asked for.
The reality is simply the state of the world right now. Rising costs, an uncertain economy, and the fact that many people just don’t have the extra room to spend on treats the way they once did. And we completely understand that.
We don’t have an exact closing date just yet, but we wanted to be transparent with our community. We will share updates the minute we have a confirmed date.
We love this community deeply and it breaks our hearts to step away from the little downtown hub we’ve created. With our lease coming to an end, we have to make decisions that allow us to think about our future and our family.
This is not a failure. Many people never even get the opportunity to try. We did — and we are incredibly proud of what we built, the space we created, and the memories made within these walls.
This is growth.
This is choosing the next steps 🤍
