I’m not quite sure if I can put into words how incredible this past month has been, wow!!
I’ve been much quieter over here on my cake page, as one month ago when the opportunity knocked for my sister and I to start doing what we’ve always loved, we finally answered 🥹 We hit the ground running and opened .place together, a dream we’ve shared since young girls.
As many of you know, creating has always been a love language of mine, so 4 years ago when the world went on lockdown, I found myself at home with our newborn daughter, a tad stir crazy, teaching myself how to pipe a cake! It was very clear that I’d never piped a cake in my life lol, so this extremely frustrating task quickly became a creative challenge for me. And indeed it was 🤯
Fast forward four years to October 25th, what just passed as my four year anniversary of cakes, and you know what hits home the most? The fact that through this whole creative journey, I met so many wonderful humans. I made the MOST incredible friends, met life long acquaintances, worked with the best small shop and women in business owners, community volunteers, to larger scale outfits, and it fills my heart with so much joy I could just burst. What once started as a creative outlet in our little lockdown kitchen, became something far greater than I’d ever imagined 🥲
It’s not over for cakes, however my hobby of baking has shifted as my sister and I add a new chapter in our book. The chapter we’ve always dreamed of, the oldest portion of our story finally coming to life 🫶🏻 We look forward to sharing it with you all, and would love to see you over there 🤗 .place
