A custom birthday set where Princess Peach finally got the royal icing treatment she's always deserved, Yoshi landed equal billing despite a clearly supporting career, including a piranha plant we tried to leave out and were politely overruled on. Oh, and Mario showed up too (he always does).

The final brief: Mario, Peach, Yoshi, two mushrooms, three stars, two question blocks, two piranha plants, and a surprising amount of fish. When the world-building is this committed, you don't ask questions — you just start baking.

The protea — one of the oldest flowering plants on earth, and one of the most striking.

Native to the Southern Hemisphere, proteas have been blooming for over 300 million years.
Named after Proteus — the Greek god who could change his form — the flower earned its name from the extraordinary variety within the species. Over 1,600 types exist across the world, ranging from the dramatic King Protea to the delicate Blushing Bride.

Their layered petals, bold silhouette, and status as South Africa's national flower have made them a symbol of diversity, strength, and transformation — which is exactly why the protea has a permanent place in The Pretty Little Flour logo.

It only made sense to put it on a cookie too 😍
