The Pretty Little Flour has been voted Best in Cookies at the 2026 CommunityVotes - Oakville Awards — growing from Silver to Platinum.

For anyone unfamiliar, Community Votes is a community-driven awards program where residents nominate and vote for their local favourites across dozens of categories. The winners aren't chosen by a panel — they're chosen by the people who live here. That's what makes Platinum feel so good: it came directly from this community.

The Pretty Little Flour is a one-woman studio in Oakville. What began as an idea — shaped through the program — is now the top-voted cookie studio in town.

But none of it happens in isolation. This past year has been full of long, exhausting days — running on empty and pushing through — alongside the collaborations and connections that made it worth it. Connecting with other women in business who get it, the ones who stand together, root each other on, and turn a quick "how's it going?" into a real friendship. Networking with like-minded people has made this journey lighter, sharper, and a lot more fun. We rise together, and I'm grateful to be in such good company.

To everyone who voted, and to every client who trusted me with their celebrations: thank you, sincerely. This one means a lot — personally, as recognition of every doubt pushed past and every sacrifice that went unseen, and professionally, as a sign that the work is resonating, and the studio is growing in the right direction.

The bride-to-be requested a bachelorette theme and we delivered roughly eleven margaritas, several limes, a tequila bottle or three, and one reminder that this is technically about a wedding. She'll get to that part eventually 😜
