And finally, the third of the tribute trio-Duncan, a shepherd/collie mix, was found dirty and thin, wandering the streets after a random decision to take a different route home one day. A gentle soul, quiet and calm, after no one claimed him, he joined Sarah and Fiona as the 3rd dog in the family. Though only thought to be 6 years old at the time, he was sadly diagnosed with cancer during his first vet check. He would be a loving member of the family for the bendy 2.5 years, during which he would live his best life.

2nd pup of the commission trio- Fiona, a pure bread golden retriever, came to be a family pet due to her missing lower canine losing her points in the show ring. An absolute sweetheart who loved everyone, and other dogs. Throughout her 14 years of life, her tail never stopped wagging!

This is the first of a trio of commissions I recently received to pay tribute to dearly loved and departed pups.
Sarah was adopted at about 2 years old in 1995, when she had escaped from her original owner’s yard several times and he decided he no longer wanted to keep her. A sweet girl, her new family welcomed her with open arms where she lived happily for 12.5 years. She is special being the first dog this family would welcome into their home.
