Uptown Saint John has a gingerbread trail happening where business display gingerbread houses they’ve made. My sister Heather aka My Pink Alter Ego's Cakes & Confections made the most amazing and beautiful Victorian gingerbread house so I thought I’d share her spotlight on the news last night. A few things out of the Fairy kitchen recently!

Oreo cake with Oreo buttercream and chocolate ganache in the layers for a little extra yum.

Lemon cupcakes with lemon curd in the middle and vanilla buttercream.

Caramel latte cupcakes. A lightly espresso flavoured cupcake with caramel in the middle. I don’t like coffee but these are delish!

A pretty little lemon cake and a chocolate chip cookie dough cake

The cookie dough cake is a brown butter chocolate chip cake with chocolate ganache in the layers AND most exciting is a layer of edible chocolate chip cookie dough in the middle. What?!
