As Zavi and I were running a little late for Friday prayers at Masjid Farooq, I decided to head towards Riyazul Jannah instead. Little did I know that Bonnie Crombie herself would be there to greet us! 😃
Zaviyar was so happy to meet her that he gave her a big hug, while I took the opportunity to explain to him, in his own little way, what a mayor does and how they work to make our city a better place for families and children. 🇨🇦
I’m sure he’ll be telling all his friends at school, “I met Bonnie Crombie!” 😄
