I opened this bag fully expecting to find a science experiment. 🫠

We bought these hamburger buns almost TWO MONTHS ago. Used a few, closed the bag, used a few more, and then they just... sat on the counter.

No mold. No weird smell. They're not even particularly stale.

Meanwhile, the breads I make barely survive 5 days on the counter.

And yes, I know a best before date isn't an expiration date. And clearly I buy grocery store bread too — sometimes you need two buns and you're not making an entire batch. 😂

But it did make me wonder when we started thinking bread lasting this long was normal.

Maybe bread going stale isn't such a bad thing after all. ❤️

SOLD OUT! 🥹❤️

Yesterday was one of those market days that reminds me why I keep doing this.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, whether you came specifically looking for me, grabbed something on a whim, came back for a favourite, or just stopped to chat. You guys cleared me out. 😭

Most went at the market, and the rest went after! I didn't even have time to post about what I had left before a lovely lady messaged me asking if she could grab it. ❤️

There is something incredibly satisfying about this feeling, especially knowing just how many hours of mixing, shaping, baking, glazing, packing (and questioning my life choices 😂) went into preparing everything in the first place.

I am tired. My kitchen is tired. My mixer is probably tired.
But I am VERY grateful. ❤️
