Not sure if this is goodbye or just see ya later, but it's been something I've contemplated for quite a while. I've had a rough couple of years personally, and have struggled to find any kind of balance in my life. Unfortunately, that has meant that caring for myself has taken the back burner to work and caring for others.
While cookie decorating used to be my happy place, it has felt more like something else that I'm struggling to keep up with. I have been hesitant to stop taking orders because I worked long and hard to build up this little business that I'm quite proud of. It's a bit heart breaking that it doesn't fit into my life right now.
I will never forget the excitement of getting a new cookie order, or the pure joy of getting a message about how much you loved your cookies. It's crazy to think that about 15 years ago, I started my little baking hobby with a cake decorating class at Michael's that a coworker and I took on a whim. I feel lucky to have been a small part of so many celebrations. I'm so grateful for every single order I ever fulfilled, and especially so to the families that placed orders year after year.
You may see the odd post from me, if I feel inspired. And maybe I'll be back to taking orders again someday.
But for now, a huge thank you to all of you! Whether you placed an order, took the time to like or comment on a post, or if you just silently appreciated my posts - I'm so grateful to you all â¤ī¸
