With so many new faces around here lately, I figured it’s about time I introduce myself - and also share some exciting (and a little bittersweet) news💛
I’m Abbey - the face behind AbbeyCakes! What started as a fun creative outlet has grown into something much bigger than I imagined and I want to say thank you for following along🙏
With summer around the corner, I’ve been getting so many inquiries about weddings, showers, anniversaries and more- thank you! But I have had to say no to most because…
I am getting married in June ❤️💍
I’m going to be taking time off for my wedding/honeymoon so AbbeyCakes will be on pause for June and July.
And with that- I am also moving💛 I’ll share more on that soon but for now I will only be taking orders until the end of May- I can’t confirm any fall orders just yet.
Mother’s Day will be one of your last chances to place an order for a little while! So if you’ve been thinking about ordering a bouquet from me- now is the time :)
I’ve been meaning to post this and I’m really sorry to those I’ve had to say no to lately - I would’ve loved to create some edible floral arrangements.
And just for fun, here’s a bit about me:
🌸 I’m completely self taught! I learned to make buttercream flowers during late shifts at a grocery store bakery using leftover icing and photo references
🌺By day, I’m a full time grade 3/4 teacher - and I love it!
💍My favourite flower will always be the garden rose- you’ll notice it is almost always in my bouquets
