ABOUT ME 🫢

Hi, since this page is for friends and family, you all know me BUT I still wanted to share a little tidbit of information about myself...

Growing up I baked a lot with my cousin, I enjoyed whenever she babysat me because it meant I was going home with containers of goodies for the family!

In my grad year of high school, I decided I wanted to make a career out of it. I joined the Culinary Arts class (in grade eleven), a Nutrition class and Co-Op. I landed a Co-Op position at the Happy Baker in 2014 and successfully got a job lined up after graduation. I was with the Happy Baker (on and off near the end) for six years. I enjoyed all the people I met, all the skills I learned, but it wasn't meant for me for a long-term career and decided to make a change.

βš–οΈIn 2018, I enrolled in a Paralegal program at Eastern College, which I graduated from in 2020 with Distinction. I have been a legal assistant ever since, and love every minute of it. I've always kept up with baking here and there (especially during the holidays) but I wanted to widen my horizons a bit... plus who doesn't like extra money on the side, especially in this house market!!

This past Halloween, I made sugar cookies with royal icing for my co-workers (extras went to family and friends), and they were a hit!! I decided that I would extend to family and friends (as well as co-workers) that want to place any orders for cookies. My skills with royal icing are fairly basic but I am willing to try anything!

Here's to another side hustle... because you can't just have one (apparently)! Thank you all for the support, I truly appreciate it!! πŸ₯°

PLEASE DO NOT SHARE ‼️

In 2023, I decided I would start a side hustle of making sugar cookies on demand for friends and family (DO NOT SHARE!! I am not in the right place living wise or financially to take this on for strangers or friends of friends).

Below are the specifics:

Requirements for ordering:οΏ½
- 1-2 weeks notice
- details of design/shape of cookies on date of request
- my availability will depend on my pet sitting (if I am pet sitting, I will not accept orders for that time since I will not be home)

Price (all prices will be estimates/quotes until the date of purchase of the ingredients/supplies):
- reimbursements for ingredients (could range from $20 to $50)
- reimbursements for supplies (such as cookie cutters, treat bags, treat boxes, etc. - could range from $10 to $30)
- pricing for supplies is calculated based on how much of something used for your order (for example: a pack of 15 treat boxes cost $25, only two are needed for your order, you will only need to reimburse for $3.33)
- flat fee of $20 for time/labour (instead of hourly) - this is for one day/night, if it takes more than one day/night to prepare/decorate the cookies, it will be additonally $10/hr

Cancelling an order:
- I will inform of the date I will pick up the ingredients and supplies; that date will be the deadline to cancel
- If you cancel after that date, you will be required to reimburse me for HALF of the ingredients/supplies cost (no time/labour fee included)
