DELIVERIES - will begin around 5-5:30 today

EXTRAS - If you’re looking for a sweet treat, this might be the last of my extras for August. I only have a couple packages of each available. I don’t anticipate having any extra baking for the two weeks as I head into a week of weddings before I take our annual two week camping vacation! These items will freeze well if you plan to eat them at a later date, and are good in the freezer in an airtight container for up to 6 weeks 😍

🍋 Tip Tuesday

Did you know? Some of the highest instances of cross-contact / cross-contamination can begin in the home?

A few common culprits include:
A shared toaster
Wooden Cutting Boards
Shared Air Fryer Baskets
Shared Pots and Pans - specifically non-stick with damaged non-stick coatings where gluten can hide.

Other items that often cause cross-contamination:
Jam Jars
Peanut Butter Jar
Butter or Margarine Containers
Chip Dip Containers (not all chips are gluten-free, and if someone dips directly into the container, that dip is done)

The Tip I offer you today is to clean what you have as best as you can between uses if you are going back and forth between gluten to gluten-free cooking. If you can afford it, replace what you can a little at a time so you have your own dedicated cook and bakeware. & always communicate well with your family if you wish for certain shared products to remain safe for all to use - No wiping the butter knife back in the butter dish, or going in for a second swipe with the same gluten-covered knife.

Today's Featured Item is ...

BUNS

Anyone who has ever tried my gluten-free buns, has told me they enjoy how soft and fluffy and flavourful they are.

I make multiple types and flavours including:
Cheese Buns
Hamburger Buns
Herb & Garlic Buns
Dinner Buns/Rolls
I even make hotdog buns and garlic breadsticks with the same base recipe!

They toast nicely. They're squishy and soft. Perfect to have fresh on hand for camping or to take to a BBQ, and any that you won't need right away can be sealed and put in the freezer for later - these buns freeze and thaw well.

Did you know? Spice blends can often contain gluten!

Solo spices are generally considered safe, but spice blends frequently contain extras like -

Wheat Flour
Modified Starches
Anti-Caking Agents
Malt Ingredients

Spice blends I have personally found gluten products in, include:
Taco Seasoning
Gravy Powder
Chili Seasoning
Soup Mixes
Ranch Packets

This isn't true of every brand, and there are even lots of brands that *are* gluten-free only, or offer a gluten-free line of products, however, some brands do not offer gluten-free versions. Some brands even have vague labeling and

COBBLER

Fruit cobbler makes the most beautiful addition to any summer get together, a birthday, a dinner, a potluck or BBQ!

This is a brand new item, that I have never before offered on my menu, but will officially be launching NOW, and will be available until the end of September 2026!

Cobbler is best served warm, with your favourite vanilla ice cream or ice cream alternative. The melty vanilla ice cream turns cobbler into a delightfully creamy, comforting treat 🤤

Made without eggs, and can be made dairy-free.
