It's been such a long time since I posted on here. So much to say, so many pictures to post......but for now - here's a peek at a cake/cupcake order made just this week for an annual RBC meeting. I hope they loved it! I had to use all willpower to not sneak a taste of this one leaving the house. It smelled sooo good :)

I know it's been ages since I last posted/updated/commented/communicated in any way. But I had to post tonight to say I have a new flavour coming out of the kitchen tomorrow. Can't wait to taste test!!! The boys definitely agree that quality control is one of the best parts of baking!

We celebrated the Double Ds' birthdays this week-end. Each of them get their own cake, completely their choice (we sing twice, too!). Both boys knew exactly what they wanted this year. Here is a quick pic of Little D's cake. He saw me drooling over this cake on pinterest one day and delcared he wanted that one, but with a pumpkin on top. He was quite pleased with the result!

It's been a long time since I posted on here. I've still been working in the kitchen, just lacking updates on facebook. I had another calla lily wedding cake order this week-end, w/ 48 matching cupcakes (half topped with mini calla lilies). Black, white and mint green - beautiful wedding colour combo! Will try to post pictures soon. Congrats to the happy couple!

Last day of SK for my Big D. These are what he requested (and help make) for his year end party. I love that he knew exactly what he wanted - "Brownies with fondant flowers and edible bead-things" :)

Tomorrow is the big day for local craft vendors. First Sunday Stroll is taking place in Harold Black Park in Fonthill. Come out and support the many local talents! (At the very least - please do a sunshine dance for them!)

Happy New Year to Everyone! Feels good to be back in the kitchen. The first cake of 2012 is still a bit n**e, but here's a sneak peek of what lies beneath the fondant. This little devil is a rich chocolate cherry cake, w/ a heavenly whipped chocolate buttercream. And as always - it's 100% from scratch. Stay tuned for the final product!
