🎉 HAPPY 2ND ANNIVERSARY TO YEG DREAM TARTS 🎉
Today, our little dream turns 2 years old. ♥️
Building a business from scratch has changed me in ways I never expected. The truth is, this journey keeps changing me every few months. Every challenge, every success, every mistake, every lesson has shaped the person I am becoming.
When I first started, I thought building a successful business was mostly about creating great products. What I didn’t realize fast enough was that a business can only grow as much as the person behind it grows. To keep up with this dream, I had to change myself first.
I had to build confidence. I had to learn to trust myself. I had to become comfortable with making mistakes and learning from them. I had to educate myself constantly and stay open to learning from anyone willing to share their knowledge. Some of the people who helped me along the way probably have no idea how much of an impact they had on my journey.
There were hard lessons too. At the time, some of them felt unfair, painful, and overwhelming. Looking back, those same lessons helped build the foundation that brought me here today.
More than anything, this journey has taught me what truly matters. I value honesty, respect, and kindness more than ever before. Businesses grow because of people. Because of trust. Because of relationships. Because of the community that chooses to support them.
I am an ambitious person, and one thing about me has never changed: I will never give up on my dream, no matter how difficult the road becomes. There were moments that tested me, moments that made me question everything, but every time I chose to keep going.
To every customer, every team member, every friend, every mentor, every supporter, and every person who believed in YEG Dream Tarts — thank you. You have helped build something much bigger than a bakery.
This has been one of the most fulfilling journeys of my life. It brought out a version of me I didn’t know existed, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.
