I had the pleasure of making this beach themed birthday cake for Elsbeth all in one day, while on night shift this week. It was gluten free chocolate with Italian buttercream frosting, marshmallow fondant decorations, with food colouring airbrushed on the ocean and sand. July 14/26

I whipped up a gluten free carrot cake with cream cheese frosting filling and decorated with Italian buttercream piping in pink and rose gold, for a 75th birthday celebration - July 11/26.

This weekend I celebrated the life of one of my long time friends, Bob Stuart. Yes, RockerBob is one of the reasons I’m such a lover of music, and the person who got me out to my first rock concert, Chilliwack, when I was newly single.

Bob loved entertaining and clowning around and my kids knew him as “Trampy”, his rockin’ clown persona. He totally entertained a yard full of captivated kids on Olivia’s 5th birthday years ago.

I just had to honour Bob’s memory with a rockin’ band patch cake in his favourite flavour profile of strawberry cheesecake and his friends and family loved it! We’re gonna miss you Bob but you’ll absolutely never ever be forgotten!

This week I made a gluten free cinnamon bun flavoured cake with cream cheese frosting filling and Italian buttercream piping. It was created especially for Betty Ann’s birthday and decorated all pretty and girly just for her - June 6/26.

Here’s a cake I forgot to post from back in the beginning of April. It celebrated my friend Suzanne Dochuk’s 60th and Easter birthday and was gluten free carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and edible rice paper nests - April 5/26.

I got to make a cake for young foodie, Killian. He requested a gluten free blueberry flavoured cake with lemon zest, cherry filling and blue raspberry ganache for frosting. He even got to help decorate his shark cake topper with some cherry “blood” - May 30/26

Last weekend I had the pleasure of creating a cake for my friends 50th wedding anniversary. It was gluten free raspberry and lemon cake with raspberry and white chocolate ganache in the layers and Italian buttercream piping - May 23/26.

I had fun making this cake for my rockin’ friend Jim Kravanja. It was a gluten free marble of raspberry and blueberry cream cheese cake with cream cheese frosting for filling and Italian buttercream frosting. The most fun was drawing and painting his bike in food colouring on the fondant “canvas”! May 14/26
