Sourdough Double Chocolate Pecan Brownie Mix..

Just add a little melted butter or oil, a few tablespoons of water and a couple eggs...dump into a square pan and bake.

And tada!

These packages will be in the farmstand and on the market table this weekend

I can't wait to start trying out different variations!

In an ingredient household it helps to have a few tricks up your sleeve.

If I don't plan ahead well enough to have my usual sourdough Bagels on hand whnr I have a hankering, these stupid quick 2 ingredient Bagels come together in about 2 minutes and take 10 or so in the air fryer..
If call that winning and its still faster, healthier and@ cheaper than running into town to pick up something quick..

1 cup Greek Yogurt
1 cup self rising flour

Egg wash (optional)

Fresh batch of granola incoming...FYI... My kid used to use this bowl as a sled to go down snowy hills...he fit complete...

did I ever tell you about all the times I won 'Mother of the Year?'. No? Ya that makes sense...

I've washed the bowl since, obviously.

Only somewhat disappointed that I didn't get to share these beauties today at the market..

I made these in honor of today's Blue Moon since it carries such energetic import... (Should that be something in realm of connection to or in awareness, of course.)

Regardless, anytime the moon is full enough to hold two moons, its a good time to eat special cookies. These are super delicious, ridiculously buttery lavender shortbread with a blueberry lemon glaze and a hint of shimmer.. And I'm happy to eat em all up myself..

A few packs in the stand today... But many in mah belly..

Anyhow.. Those of you mentioned above, don't forget to put your water out tonight.. If you're local, sundown is around 950 pm ish 😘

While I'm well versed in the division of our responsibilities and how sandwiches are earned and paid out around here... This was not that

Actually, what he said was that he wanted to run into town to pick up nice lunch for me so I could rest..

I asked if he's found a place that can whip this up on a Sunday for less than an arm and half a leg..

So while he tended to the critters for the afternoon rounds, I whipped up a lunch worthy of at least an arm at any respectable restaurant..(chicken bacon club with lettuce, tomato, and onion, all on on homemade sourdough sandwich bread that I baked, with homemade mayo, and butter. A side of homemade loaded potato soup) and we settled in to open a board game that we actually got for Christmas in 2024 and up until today we hadn't had a chance to dig into..

Happy Sunday y'all..we're having one.

Whoooops… so much for posting this “first thing this morning" as I had initially planned..

But you know how it goes.. the rain rolled in, coffee got poured, breakfast happened, then someone popped by, the phone rang, and apparently I fully wandered off. My initial intention was to tell everyone that we stayed home from adult life (aka the Alberta Beach Farmers’ Market) today so I apologize for the delayed announcement!

The market manager gave vendors the option to stay home safely because of the weather and because we're doing this thing where we follow the path that unfolds ahead of us by gut feelings, we decided to lean into it.

And truthfully? It’s been kind of lovely. We set up a board game cause that's how rain days are prescribed to be. The
gardens are soaking it up, the ducks are delirious, everything smells green and fresh, there’s coffee on repeat, chores are happening verrrrrrrrrry slowly in rubber boots and the whole place feels damp and sleepy today.

BUT…
The farmstand trailer is restocked for any non melty folks brave enough to venture out.

We’ve got:
• fresh sourdough bread
• cinnamon rolls
• farm fresh eggs
• cookies
• homemade marshmallows • granola and other snacks, treats and goodies

The trailer is sheltered, stocked, and open for rainy-day drizzly drive by 🥰

Stay warm and dry y'all! We will be doing the same..
