My cake career has already come and gone, but these gals are just beginning! And so far they are on a great path. Putting all my old cake supplies to good use, they recently received a provincial award for customer service from Youth Ventures - at 12 years old, nonetheless. I'm super excited to have come across this page! Finally there is a composting option in CBS! This business will provide you with a compost bucket and will pick up your waste weekly for $20 a month. There's no need for you to have a composter in your yard or to handle any of the dirty work.

Organic waste in landfills is a huge contributor to climate change due to the methane gas that is released (which is more powerful than carbon dioxide). Composting allows this waste to be converted into something valuable - a natural fertilizer that can be used on our local farms. This initiative is an all around good idea and I encourage everyone who doesn't compost already to give it a try!

Here is a sneak peek of what the Easter cupcakes will be like! Won't have the cute boxes this time around, but the cupcakes will be the same. Perfect for dessert after your Good Friday feed of fish and chips!

They will be in boxes of 6 for $12 and pick up will be on Thursday the 24th at the Vigilant Office - all for the Children's Wish Foundation once again.

I am only accepting orders for up to 60 boxes.

Since the Valentine's day cupcake sale was such a hit, I'm doing it again for Easter! I've upped the price a little to try to increase the profit margin - since we want to raise as much as possible, of course. (It'll be worth your extra 75 cents per cupcakes though: mini eggs will be involved.)

I'm only offering boxes of 6 this time because that's the size of box that I have the most of here at home (I don't want to buy more, again to make sure that as much money as possible gets to our wish kid).

I will only accept orders for up to 60 boxes, so order quick!

Pick up will be on the Thursday before Good Friday (March 24th) at the Vigilant Office (69 Karwood Drive), so hopefully those of you who have travel plans will still be able to partake.

If you will be away, or just want to participate without cupcakes, any and all donations are welcome! Donations over $20 are eligible for a tax receipt.

Thanks for all of your support so far, guys! Here's to another successful fundraiser!

Over half the cupcakes are baked! Yet to be iced. Some will be ready and at the office tomorrow, so if anyone can't make it on Saturday, or would rather get them tomorrow, let me know!

Hi again, everyone! I've decided to cut it off at 150 boxes (600 cupcakes), which means that there are 8 boxes left for the taking!

Wow guys. 80 boxes ordered in 8 hours. That is an official record. This is the first time I've needed a spreadsheet to keep orders organized (it's also the engineering school rubbing off on me...). And the post has already been shared 33 times!!!

Just to clarify, that's 320 cupcakes, and $400 towards a child's wish. In one day. So awesome.

I need to decide whether I'm going to put a limit on the number of boxes I take on - simply for time and resource reasons. I'll keep you all posted.

Hi everyone! It's been a while! I'm currently on my first work term of my engineering degree and am doing well. But let me cut to the chase.. CUPCAKES.

That is correct. My workplace, Vigilant Management, is participating in Exile Island, a fundraiser for the Children's Wish Foundation. We need to raise $10 000 to grant a child's wish. I've decided that one of my contributions will be cupcake sales, beginning with Valentine's Day!

I will be offering boxes of Valentine's Day themed cupcakes to be picked up Valentine’s Day weekend (Feb 12-14th). To simplify the process I’m gonna stick with boxes of 4 for $5 (2 chocolate and 2 vanilla, both with buttercream). 100% of the proceeds will go to the cause.

Please comment below or message me if you’re interested, and make sure to spread the word! I want to have to make as many cupcakes as possible.
