"This very rare, limited edition bourbon takes generations of distilling know-how to produce. Only the most careful and expensive distilling method can be used to create a whiskey as special as this one. Each barrel ages for 23 years and is carefully selected from the heart of the warehouse. This whiskey should be enjoyed neat.

Pappy Van Winkle 23 Year Old is 95.6 proof. Early aromas of caramel and cream with soft notes of oak, nuts and leather. Features a sweet taste composed of vanilla, maple and honey joined by complimentary flavors of citrus and spice. Has a long lasting oaky finish, along with many of the early flavors."

"The 2005 Cristal is a legend in the making, but this wine is still very young and closed and some extended bottle age will be necessary to really allow all of the multi-faceted elements here to blossom and come to the fore. The cépages is the same as for the 2006, fifty-five percent pinot noir and forty-five percent chardonnay, but this does not mean that Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon selected vins clairs from the same crus for the two vintages!

The 2005 vintage was considered strongest for chardonnay, so careful selection of pinot noir vins clairs for the Cristal in this vintage was of paramount importance, though the domaine’s superb holdings in Verzenay and Verzy certainly made the selection process a bit easier.

The 2005 Cristal offers up a deep, extremely primary and very promising bouquet of apple, pear, a gorgeously complex base of chalky soil tones, incipient nuttiness, citrus peel, smoke, a touch of lavender and a topnote of peach blossoms. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and absolutely rock solid at the core, with great focus and finesse, very refined mousse, a crisp girdle of acidity and great length and laser-like focus on the poised, primary and utterly refined finish. The 2005 is an utterly brilliant Cristal in the making, but give it time to blossom in the cellar!

"In my estimation, Grange 2012 Bin 95 is certainly the most complete, young Grange ever released and wine that frankly surpasses anything founder Max Schubert could have ever imagined. As thrilling as the boisterous 2010 may be, it doesn’t have that Euro charm and finesse that the 2012 exudes at such a young age. Balance is the lead attribute of this multi-regional blend that is an essay in textural perfection, something that will help place it among the recent greats such as 1986, '96 '04, '06 and '10.

The blend is 98/2 shiraz/cabernet sauvignon from a mix of Barossa and McLaren vale sites with the requisite 18 months in 100% new American oak hogsheads. Rich, glossy, chalky tannins are the foundation of this almost red fruited edition of Grange that will age gracefully for the next five decades and beyond. In a rare occurrence, after the exchange rate, Grange 2012 is selling for about 20 percent less in Canada than the United States.

Properly stored, and if checked 25 years down the road at a Penfolds Re-Corking clinic, it could keep well past 2070. 98/100"

The Remy Martin Louis XIII is created from over 1,200 eaux-de-vie, sourced entirely from the Grand Champagne district of France. Aged in traditional French oak casks for 40 to 100 years, each eaux-de-vie is carefully blended by expert cellarmasters to create the final Louis XIII cognac.

Nova Scotian Crystal | The Traditional Sale

Founded in Halifax in 1996, Nova Scotian Crystal was Canada's only producer of mouth-blown, hand-cut crystal. The company was established by Irish crystal makers, who had immigrated to Canada seeking to preserve their craft, as the traditional craft as major European manufacturers increasingly turned to machines. For 25 years it stood as a testament to centuries-old artistry, and though it closed in 2021, it remains cherished by collectors as a symbol of Canadian craftsmanship.
