Heartfelt Thank You & This Week’s Stand Menu!

I am still beaming from the incredible support from our community during last week’s very first porch stand! Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by, shared kind words, and enjoyed my sourdough treats. It truly meant the world to me.

I am thrilled to announce that the stand is officially a go for this Saturday!

Where: 2300 Sagewood Heights SW, Airdrie
When: Saturday June 6, starting at 10:00 AM until everything is gone!

🚨 AND WE ARE OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT! 🚨

To say a HUGE thank you feels like an understatement! When I opened up The Daily Ferment’s porch stand this morning, I was so nervous and excited, but the way the community showed up today has left me absolutely speechless.

Thank you to every single person who walked up, used the honor system, and took a chance on my baking for our very first day. I also want to send a special, heartfelt thank you to the familiar faces and early supporters who have been cheering me on and enjoying my bakes long before today. Your ongoing encouragement gave me the confidence to finally launch this little dream of mine.

Seeing the neighborhood come together and hearing your amazing feedback has made all the recipe testing and late nights/early mornings completely worth it. My heart is so full.

After such an incredible response today, I will definitely be doing the porch stand again but with a lot more cookies and a couple different items to choose from! Keep an eye out for the next bake date.

I am absolutely blown away by the incredible support this morning! Thank you so much to everyone who has stopped by The Daily Ferment porch stand so far. My heart is just so full seeing my bakes heading off into your homes (and reading your sweet notes on the ledger!). You have made this opening day more amazing than I ever could have imagined. ❤️

The cookies and sandwich loaves are completely wiped out, but we still have a few treats looking for a home this weekend:

🎉 The Daily Ferment Porch Stand is OFFICIALLY OPEN! 🎉

Good morning, Airdrie! The stand is stocked and ready for you. Stop by and grab some fresh, homemade sourdough bakes for your weekend!

Since this is my very first time opening the porch stand, I've only baked a limited amount to test the waters and see how things go. Everything is strictly first-come, first-serve, so be sure to pop by early before it all sells out!

Tomorrow is the day, and I am absolutely thrilled! 🎉

We were supposed to get a lot of rain, but the forecast has completely cleared up for us! ☀️ The Daily Ferment porch stand will be stocked and ready for you at 10:00 AM sharp to enjoy the beautiful weather. Swing by 2300 Sagewood Heights SW to grab your weekend treats.

We’ll have a little bit of everything—from classic boules and sandwich loaves to par-baked pizza crusts and chocolate chip cookies.

A quick reminder:

This is a self-serve, honor-system stand.
Cash (via lockbox) and e-transfer are accepted.
Everything is 100% sourdough-based!

Quantities are limited, so come early—once they are gone, they are gone! Can't wait to share these bakes with our wonderful community!

I am so incredibly excited (and a little nervous!) to share that a long-time dream of mine is finally coming to life right here in Sagewood.

For those I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet, I’m Melissa, the face behind The Daily Ferment. I’m a mom to three wonderful kids, a former personal support worker originally from Ontario, and a deeply passionate sourdough baker.

I have spent months perfecting my recipes and officially getting my home bakery licensed, and I can't wait to share the results with you!
I’ve been working hard in the yard, setting up a beautiful, rustic little display on the porch. Tomorrow morning, my hands will finally be in the flour as I start mixing the dough for our very first weekend bake.

Here are the details for this weekend:
🍞 When: This Saturday at 10:00 AM (weather permitting!)
📍 Where: My porch right here in Sagewood. 2300 Sagewood Heights SW!
💳 How it works: This is a completely self-serve, honor-system stand. I'll have a secure lockbox out for cash, and my email will be clearly posted for quick e-transfers.

Because this is my very first try running the stand, quantities will be limited! Everything on the menu this weekend is 100% sourdough-based.

Porch Pop-Up Announcement!

Hey everyone! 🌾🤎
Usually, I spend my week mapping out your 72-hour pre-orders, but having a little extra time on my hands this week means I get to do a spontaneous, massive weekend bake just for fun!

This Saturday morning at 10:00 AM (weather permitting!), I am stocking up the baker's rack on my porch and running a grab-and-go honor system stand. It is going to be packed with a little bit of everything: classic sourdough boules, incredibly soft sandwich loaves, hand-twisted grissini, pizza crusts for your Saturday night dinner, and plenty of sourdough chocolate chip cookies.

Everything will be wrapped, tagged, and ready to go!

Payment is super easy—just drop exact change in the secure box on the stand or shoot over an e-transfer.

I will be posting the exact address right here on Friday night, so keep an eye out! Come say hi and grab some fresh bread for the weekend.

Here is the freshly updated menu! Whether you are craving a classic loaf for the week or planning a weekend family dinner, everything is baked fresh just for you.

✨ New Additions to the Menu:

Roasted Tomato & Basil Boule: A deeply savory, aromatic loaf packed with the rich flavor of roasted tomatoes and fresh basil.

Sourdough Hamburger Buns (8-pack): Just in time for BBQ season! These are a hearty, standard 4-inch size built to hold up beautifully to your favorite burgers. (Need a bigger bun? I can custom-size your order to a 6-pack of jumbos—just ask!)

Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies: They are now officially on the list!

Bake-to-Order:
I am a fully licensed home bakery, and every single item is made specifically for your order.
Timeline: Please allow a 72-hour notice so your dough has the perfect amount of time to ferment and develop that signature flavor.

Pick-up: Pick-ups are located right here in Sagewood, Airdrie.

After many attempts at perfecting a hamburger bun recipe, I finally found "the one"! I needed a bun that was incredibly soft, but sturdy enough to hold up to the biggest, juiciest burgers—and this is exactly it.
Introducing the newest addition to The Daily Ferment menu: Enriched Sourdough Hamburger Buns! These beauties are crafted with a rich dough featuring milk, real butter, and eggs for an ultra-tender crumb, and finished with classic sesame seeds on top. They are the ultimate artisan upgrade for your summer grilling.

$13 for an 8-pack (approx. 120g each)
