When brother man asked “can you make rum cake next?” I had to say yes! Husband comes to know what I’m up to and he says “wow, I totally forgot about the rum cake. I’m missing my childhood days, Christmas time we used to look forward to eating this cake with granpa and granny” well that was it. I managed to get hold of traditional rum cake recipe from my mother in law. I had to decipher what was written in that small note book page titled (Plum cake - turns out good) 😁 well it better because it’s made with lots of dry fruits and nuts soaked in finest quality rum and warm spices. It’s aged over months to perfection.
I’m the third generation using this recipe and I’m glad to say it’s husband approved!
