This has been one crazy journey with me and my sourdough starter but I tell you what it was worth it.. I like to share my recipe with you and encourage you to bake healthy bread without all the preservatives.

120g starter
500g flour
250/270ml water
16g salt

Beautiful plum cake, the softest dough with the tartness of the plums. What an explosion of flavours 💥 🤤

This is my mum’s favourite cake. My granddad and I would always go a cross the road and pick heaps of sugarplums, even though most of mine ended up in my mouth haha. When our basket was full, we would bring them to my grandma and she made this unbelievable cake. In the afternoon we would sit together on their veranda and eat the plum cake with with fresh whipped cream. If the time maschine would be invented this would be one of those moments i would revisit.
