Hello. Yes it's been a while :) Erika Rax styled a super duper cute bohemian kids party photoshoot last year and we made this cake for the shoot. Luisa Brimble (squeal!!) took some amazing photos including the one posted here. More details and photos in Erika's blog (link in comment). The shoot was featured on 100 Layer Cakelet as well

These cupcakes were for Hamish's 4th birthday party. He asked for a party at McDonald's (or 'Old Mac Donald's' - according to him) after attending his best buddy's party there. This year he actually asked for a plane cake but I thought cupcakes would be easier to distribute on the day.

Hello! It's been a while.
The said bump in previous posts is now a happy 12 weeks old baby. These cookies are for Hamish's preschool friends. He is turning four tomorrow and cannot wait to be four.

Engagement cake for good friends Nick & Natalie from a couple of weeks ago.

Had an absolute ball making this cake despite the fact that rolling fondant with 34 weeks bump proved to be quite challenging :) The bump was the same height as the kitchen bench therefore I wasnt able to lean forward :D

The bow was still stuffed with kitchen paper to make sure it didnt collapse because of the humid weather. I was worried that if I took the kitchen paper out for the photo I wouldnt be able to put it back in. The kitchen paper definitely need to support the bow for the delivery (the bow was still not 100% dry due to the humidity). Happy to report that the cake made it in one piece to the venue (thanks Andy & Lauren!!)

Dark chocolate mud cake with dark chocolate ganache.

Merry Christmas to all! Hope all is well with you all! Sorry for the lack of post lately. We have been away on holiday and I had also been unwell with morning sickness. Now the morning sickness subsides it's time to be back in the kitchen - just in time for Christmas xx

This is a really special one because this cake is for the wedding of my two good friends, Arie Silvia Pui and Geoff Tierney.

Geoff and I used to share an office where we used to work and he is the most entertaining and helpful colleague one can ever ask. Did I say he is hillarious too?

I knew Arie just before Geoff and her started dating and now I can count her as one of my closest friends.

Dont let me started on their wedding! It was ahh mazing! The location, the decor, the food, the details, the heartfelt speeches! Unfortunately I did not have my camera with me (too bulky) so I cant post a photo of the cake on location next to the Vera Wang cake knife and server and Vera Wang champagne flutes :)

Three tier cakes covered in Ivory fondant and shimmer finish, decorated with an abundance of white sugar flowers.

Wishing you two crazy kids many happy years together as husband and wife xx

The little bears on the cupcakes.

It is customary in Chinese tradition to celebrate baby's one month birthday. Very often the parents of the baby will drop a box full of yummies (usually consist of red coloured eggs, some traditional sweets or we even have had yummy whole roast chicken complete with rice and sweets delivered to us) to close family and friends. When my son Hamish celebrated his first month birthday we all dressed in red (considered lucky colour), made a cake (boy it took forever to finish between nappy changes and breastfeedings!), waved a cooked pork belly on him (so that he grew up to be a nice kid :) ) and coloured some boiled eggs in red. My husband and my in laws watched in awe (witchcraft probably crossed their mind, lol) and progressed waving the pork belly at the baby when asked.

Brendan's mum requested sets of two cupcakes and two cookies in a box for his one month birthday. There were a teddy bear cupcake, a rubber duck cupcake, an elephant cookie and a round cookie decorated with white icing and blue letter B in a box. She then placed Brendan's birth card announcement on the box and et voila, a sweet surprise for their family and friends!

The little bears look particularly adorable! Dont you agree? Thanks Phyllis for letting me take part in Brendan's first month celebration. Happy one month birthday baby Brendan xx
